HI
I use usually green gram(Moong) and whole bengal(Kala chana) with skin on it. I let moong sprout and other beans, I just soak overnight and then boil them. Remember that sprout green gram doesn't take too long to cook. So you have to steam/boil seperately. Hope this helps. enjoy!
