  • Awesome, love it when both the tones are on together

  • @Rummeltobi Source please? I would be happy to read that article (in German or English). The main advantage of two tones (that I can see) is how easy it is to determine their direction of travel (coming towards, or going away from).

  • @Rummeltobi Very interesting report.. I cant understand the two Sanitäter that they first interviewed, they speak like Bavarians!

However, is the problem that the signal is not loud enough, or the signal itself? Perhaps this is part of the debate as well. From my experience, it is the same in America, people become used to hearing sirens, they do not respond to it any more. Bring an american siren to Germany = more people moving over, bring a martinshorn to america = more people moving over!

  • @Rummeltobi American emergency vehicle lighting is pretty good, but I don't like that they use a lot of red lights, and the lighting laws and regulations are very inconsistent... I don't really have much of an opinion on sirens though to be honest... I like powercall sirens, the Q is OK, I like the EQ2B, I like most yelps and wails and the hi-lo... Martin horns sound OK but they seem very effective... so yeah.. LOL

  • @Someloke8895 you are so right mate!!! thx

  • @Kraakmo Please write it in english.. ;)

  • @Kraakmo Und ja, die Amerikaner geben mehrere Lichter, but im some cases, more lights tend to attract, rather than warn.. z.B. drivers will drive towards the lights (not paying attention) rather than drive away. Simple is always better...

  • @Kraakmo Did you think that the public & the press cares about sirens?!? wail & yelp are tested in several countries where 2-tone is the only legal siren (e.g.: Italy, France, Germany). The "testers" said that the drivers react earlier and faster. If you have the correct lightning package on emergency vehicles you would see them too.

If you want watch a video: /watch?v=wgtZtDoo0CQ

American emergency vehicles have the best lights & sirens, believe me ;)
