People turn this into a challenge, but it's an illustration of how your brain works. Sure, you can manage to "see" it without the "illusion," but the point is that you see many things the same way that you see this - influenced by what your brain is expecting, which might surprise/embarrass you.

If I concentrate I can see the face as hollow. It's not easy though.

Fascinating. It didn't work at all the first time. Then when I heard him say "it rotates in the opposite direction" I started seeing it no matter how hard I tried not to.
