@samjez10 they are not trying to get there quick, they are trying to improve reaction and jumping techniques + ball handling, being able to jump from centre of your goal to the post in important clearly lol
@yellermydog depending on the situation.. yes. but you know how to walk without falling, if you are playing at a professional level, you shouldn't worry about falling/ tripping.
@samjez10 cross step is more likely that you will trip over yourself, so you turn your body and run or you do a quick shuffle, its how ive been trained by one of the best keeper coaches in California
@samjez10 My comment was about taking off on the wrong leg. For the height of the ball that you are serving, the keepers should be powering off the leg farthest from the ball. Also, to me it is about quality first, these keepers are not ready to perform the drill at this pace. To me it looks like a good drill, but I would slow it down, focus on quality footwork and consistent service first.
@XxDomiiixX was können sie denn fürs rutschen? war anscheinend auf kunstrasen der etwas nass war. da rutscht man automatisch so weit danach.. wenn man selbst TW ist sollte man das wissen... :?

@keepercoach Q: what is the quickest way to get where he is going? A: cross step. Shuffle too slow in this situation. Try it if you don't believe me.

All keepers are taking off on the wrong leg, at this age they should know better and the coach needs to correct and make adjustments!
Keeper should not be taking off starting with crossovers, shuffle first, then transition to crossovers if needed
