I may have to try this. Great magnets by the way.

My Dear Fellow, First I would like to commend you on your ingenuity and resourcefulness; second I must suggest that you consider going into business, create these masterpieces for sale; only do not refer to them as Doctor Who umbrellas, you don't need the legal copy-right hassles. Call them "Inquiry" or "Meddler" Umbrellas or something. Charge $200.00 per umbrella, Over night millionares are made in such a way. I will be your first customer. GO FOR IT!!! Good luck

Contact the BBC and see if you can get a licence to make these things.

@Rantman6969 I agree. I wouldn't personally buy one, but I'm sure many would.

McCoy-style umbrellas - or ones VERY like them - were commercially available in the 90's.

Dang man that to much work lol Do you make them and sell them? I'd buy one

I can't recommend this video highly enough, even though I had to improvise on a few things detailed, this tutorial was invaluable for helping me make my own umbrella.
Thanks!

@Kluesner No that is not one of mine. Feel free to try and get it. But I would ask the guy questions about it. Like what is the handle made of. I got one off of ebay over a year ago and paid to much for a crappy umbrella that arrived broken. The guy used some kind of particle board for his handle and it was crap.
