Patti Smith (4) sings "Because The Night", Seattle, 1/25/2010

Patti Smith is on tour promoting her new book "Just Kids" about Robert Maplethorpe and her.
A healthy crowd came to Benaroya Hall in downtown Seattle. Patti read some passages, did a bit of Q&A, and then sang a few songs with her guitar.

Patti first reads an excerpt from her book about the success of "Because the Night" (#13 on the Top 40 charts in the summer of 1978).
This is the fourth of the four songs she sang: "Because the Night", with the audience singing along. :-)
