I missed filming Evan Longoria's second home run of the day at Tropicana Field, but this is him rounding third, and the ensuing celebration, after he homered off of Scott Proctor of the Yankees in the bottom of the 12th inning on September 28th, 2011. Coming within minutes of the Boston Red Sox loss in Baltimore, in which they blew a 3-2 ninth inning lead to the Baltimore Orioles, completing, arguably, the most prolific collapse in baseball history, this home run clinched the 2011 American League Wild Card spot for the Rays. Even in this game, the Rays overcame a large deficit, trailing 7-0 heading into the bottom of the 8th inning, before Longoria hit a three run shot that brought them to within 7-6, capping a six-run outburst, but still leaving them one run short, a problem that would be erased by pinch-hitter Dan Johnson's home run with two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the ninth, saving the Rays season.
