Students should be learning to use color as a part of their own good pedagogy, by using colors while they are teaching. Also, students can learn to carry more than two color pens if they want to take colored notes. I started out carrying 2 black pens and 2 blue pens. I now also carry 2 green pens and 2 red pens, plus 3 different thicknesses of mechanical pencils. Adapt. No excuses.
