  • Better Than A Gibson Flying V!!!! (I Play Gibson Flying V's, So Take My Advice On This One)

  • @jjevansj

The new X series has Floyd Rose special bridges, but I could get a Hellraiser C-1 FR or Blackjack ATX C-1 for a better deal, than one of those ugly soloists from the X series.

Jacksons are great, if you're rich, but they're not working man's guitars at all. One great example of Jackson's poor craftsmanship is their JS series, made with Indian Cedro! A wood that no fucking person on the world uses. Christ...

And 7 strings are cool, if you know how to use them.

  • @TurkeyTuck well the x series jacksons are floyd equipped? and ive fallen in love with the tremelo. and i couldnt care bout the looks, i like V's, they are comfortable for me to play. but for me a guitar is how they feel and sound for me! and im not a fan of 7 strings personally. its all opinions :)

  • @jjevansj

Could care less for floyds, and personally, if it was a fixed bridge or something like a string through, i'd love to get one.

Plus that, the head stock is ugly, (or at least it doesn't fit it's body shape).

It'd be cool to see a DBZ 7 string Venom, then maybe, JUST MAYBE, I'd ignore the hea stock factor and trem.

  • @TurkeyTuck Ive actually just purchased a DBZ venom. its really nice! i checked out the X series but i dont like the floyd rose special trem or basswood! my DBZ has mahogany body, grover tuners, floyd rose original trem and EMG 81 and 85 :) all for less money!

  • @jjevansj

I believe this Dean though is either Indonesian made or Korean.

Check out the new X series on Jackson. They have basswood bodies though, but they're neck-thru! Basswood isn't bad, but I think they're overpriced for the factor of being basswood, still you can't beat the fact they're neck-thru and come with decent PU's.

  • @TurkeyTuck cheers mate :)

  • @jjevansj

They should be good. I'm using a Chinese made Dean 7 string, which happens to play just fine. Got it for 200, and now it plays magically with the Seymour Blackouts I put in them.

  • @orcgoat so does karl, brother.

  • Are these actually like properly well built V's? because they are really cheap! just seems odd to me! if they are well built and feel great im going to get one, someone help me out?
