wild turkeys are a far smarter bird than the domesticated white turkey.
it was the wild turkey that Franklin had in mind, not the dumbed down commericial turkey that we usually eat for thanksgiving.

I don't know if i'd say the Earth keeps on "giving". I think it's more neutral to say we keep on taking.
Better to spend Turkey Day at Farm Sanctuary (in Watkins Glen NY).
