@BlessedChildOfGod16 at my retreat, i just wanted the Holy Spirit so bad that i had poured out my heart to God and just gave it all. I let it go and didn't care what others thought of me, i just wanted to praise God and confess all my sins to the cross. After about 3 hours into it, I was blessed by the Holy Spirit. The first step to truly accepting God is to forget all YOUR issues and problems and to pour them out to God and give him everything you can give.
