  • I heard a P5 like this once, except I think it was even worse than this one. It was ridiculously screechy. In fact, I couldn't even tell a train was coming at first!!!

  • Worse than this one? Wow. I was kinda upset when I saw this was on an ex-Conrail unit. This thing needs a good K5LAR24 horn.

  • I hate P5NCs but the old cast P5s are really good

  • Don't get mad, but I like the New Cast P5 horns better. As long as they're tuned right.

  • Nice catch on the operation lifesever IC SD40-2

  • Why would a Illinois Central SD40-2 be an Ex. BN SD40-2? Does that make any sense?

  • That car at the beging is a pussy i would have sped up

  • Yeah, K5LAs are probably my favorite horn, just as long as they don't sound like the one on NS 6699!!! That one's a "meowing K5."

  • messedup ns horn man that sucks

  • Yeah, but they sound great nonetheless!

  • I shot this at Fostoria, Ohio. They get 120-145 trains per day. There is a junction with two CSXT lines (ex-B&O and ex-C&O), and an NS line (ex-NKP). You should try this spot, it's great! I saw 86 trains in 15 hours the last day I was here. :)
