Probably about the best and funniest commentary I've seen regarding PETA and similar organisations comes from this clip from the final episode of The Mitchell and Webb Situation.

  • I strongly dislike animal cruelty, however, the problem with PETA is that their motive isn't that animals are not evil, it's that humans ARE evil. Also, just because I love animals does not mean that I can't eat meat. Native Americans respected the land strongly and still hunted.

  • @squamish4244 OK, but that's not what PETA means by it. PETA is against just about anything you can imagine. They are against any non-vegan lifestyle, including eating meat, testing or producing medicine, or even owning pets. They are also associated with the terrorist group ALF. They are completely and utterly insane.

  • @CharlieWithATurban Well, no, I wouldn't say the entire organization is bat shit insane as well because it wouldn't have so many followers if it were. BUT there is proof that the man who did those horrible things did in fact receive money from PETA and was said to be, as I had said, a good man. I know it may seem stupid to say "Go watch TV and educate yourself," but the show I had brought up really does point things out relating to that man and (some of) PETA's tactics.

  • @RebeccaDominate I'm not saying he was a good man , of course they are going to get bad press if one member does something like that, That doesn't mean PETA is 'completely and utterly insane' or that the entire organisation is evil...

  • @CharlieWithATurban If you didn't want to look into the whole PETA thing yourself, I suggest watching the Penn & Teller's Bullshit episode about PETA. PETA has allegedly endorsed fire bombing buildings in which animals are tested on. And when asked about the man who had done the firebombing, they said he was a good man, and outstanding citizen. You obviously don't know anything about PETA considering your ignorant comments. Go educate yourself, you stupid fucking bastard.

  • @CharlieWithATurban It was a challenge. Do you have any proof that they are fake? Your original comment completely fails if you had intention to make people learn. "YOU STUPID FUCKING BASTARDS" is really going to make the people think hard about life.

  • @KyuubiNoodleBear That wasn't an argument. My point is these drones watch the video, read the comments of everyone getting all angry on a matter they aren't educated over, and then post up their own comment speculating this nonsense with random statistics. 'Educate yourself instead of complaining' applies to everyone else commenting on this video. And you claim you have a valid backed up argument by telling me to 'look it up.' That isn't an argument. This conversation is over

  • @CharlieWithATurban My argument: "Go educate yourself instead of complaining" yet you respond with insult? No actual reason for not looking it up?

  • @KyuubiNoodleBear You have no argument to give a rebuttal...

  • @CharlieWithATurban Self righteous? What is that supposed to mean in this context? Still with the attacks and no actual rebuttal.

  • @KyuubiNoodleBear Don't give me this self righteous crap

  • @CharlieWithATurban Why don't you google it yourself? Insulting people isn't going to change reality any time soon.
