A brief collection of clips from the protest (and counter-protest) in MA over the teacher's union showdown with the Wisconsin governor over budget cuts.
"All Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service. It has its distinct and insurmountable limitations when applied to public personnel management.
The very nature and purposes of Government make it impossible for administrative officials to represent fully or to bind the employer in mutual discussions with Government employee organizations." - Franklin D. Roosevelt, Aug. 16, 1937
Michael brought a megaphone that amplifies his voice over others. To his credit he didn't point it in their faces. Clearly he drew attention to himself. He was also there to make a joke, offer doctors excuses.
Not much happens here but its been pimped like it proves public sector workers are violent and thugish, which is nothing more than a slur. They are your neighbors, your kids teachers, firemen.
When there's a rally to oppose 20% radiojock pay cuts, I'll support Michael.

Good work - a very realistic assessment of the event. They don't call them "union thugs" for nothing.
