Royal Navy Submarine Service Tribute

The Royal Navy is the only navy (besides the USN) to operate only nuclear propelled Submarines, Since HMS Dreadnought the United Kingdoms first nuclear powered submarine in 1960 the Royal Navy has been a pioneer in the art of building and operating nuclear submarines. HMS Conqueror remains the first and only nuclear powered submarine to sink an enemy vessel the ARA Belgrano in the 1982 Falklands War.

The Royal Navy currently operates two types of Submarines, Attack Submarines for engaging other ships and submarines and land targets via Tomahawk land attack missiles, and Ballistic Missile submarines to provide a permanent nuclear deterrant. These are divided into four classes, these are:

1 x Swiftsure Class
7 x Trafalgar Class
7 x Astute Class
4 x Vanguard Class

@TQMS100 More over... we sunk the French fleet in WW2 because they refused to help the Allies... capitulating mugs. And maybe we don't have the clout we used to have, but I'd rather have what we do than a Nuclear Carrier that is either permanently on rotation for maintenance / reactor refurb / just generally broken, like the French Charles De Gaulle... come to think of it, broken - much like its namesake.
