She was wrong, both Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson were black and good speakers and didn't get this close to the nomination. There have been several black candidates to run for the democratic ticket and none of them have gotten this close to the nomination, Obama isn't leading in delegates becase he is black he is leading in delegates because he is a very effective politician.

I guess all those people voted for Sharpton because he was black. Oh wait no one voted for him because he's a crazy asshole. Being black has nothing to do with Obama's success. Being Obama is what has made him so popular.
