  • Never seen a New York strip with bone in, thats a club steak to me after the bone trimmed down, and a new york steak as in boneless..

  • @MrClassicrock85 If you want a well-treated animal, consider asking the family-run butcher shops where they get their meat. If they get it from local farms you can contact them and inquire on how they treat their animals. Supermarkets typically ship their meat in from very large farms that have hundreds or thousands of animals, and they are often kept inside, crowded together, and fed corn.

    As far as the thickness of the steak goes, that's up to you. Happy shopping!

    I have a serious question. i live in a town that has several supermarkets, and several family runned butcher shops..I want to get the highest quality meat possible...also, i want a well treated cow..where should i go???one more question....how thick should the steak be?
