How long do these bean burgers be stored in the fridge? Can you freeze them?

They can be stored in the fridge for 2 or 3 days and can be freezed too for about 3 months if stored well in a good container.

Sometimes when I get a bean burger at a restaurant, I find the bun almost melting from under the patty - is this bean burger better? Also, does this recipe work with other canned beans, in case butter beans are rare in my region of the globe?

Pretty much any beans work... it'll change the colour and flavour, which is fine, but the consistency should still be okay.

Review: these are delicious! I might have blended them a little too long, next time I'd like them a bit chunkier, but they did warn me for that... I replaced the egg with an egg replacer and didn't add blue cheese to make it vegan. I like eating these with lotsa ketchup instead of mayo though... Also, no need to sparingly add the herbs, they taste best with quite a lot :) Finally, I made more burgers than the recipe called for by making them thinner, just my personal preference.

I just made this for lunch with black beans, and it was amazing. The taste was great (especially with a dab of dijon), and no melting-bun mess. I'll certainly save the leftovers for future quick dinners and pass the recipe on to friends. Thanks!

Lovley. I would totally make this. If I weren't lazy. Right now the only thing I eat is soy Bolognese with peas and whole spelt pasta. So easy and delicious.

Actually it depends on wether you're ovo-lakto-, lakto- og ovo-veggie. Ovo means that you eat eggs and lakto means that you eat milk, cream etc.

Try ground up flax seeds and water. It forms a gel that has the consistency of egg whites; plus fibre, omega-3 fatty acids, and folate!

EGG is vegetarian. Egg isn't vegan. And stop yelling.

I guess apple sauce would work, but perhaps you may feel the need to add some salt. I would suggest looking up egg replacer, online. It really helps with recipies that call for eggs. Its vegan.
