1st Cell phone; Brick Phone from Motorola, 8000x model.

The new cell phone! (if you lived in 1983). Even though I bought this at a garage sale for $2.50 This thing is worth over 1.5 grand when it doesn't work! This cell phone is pretty cool, but if you have one, DON'T HIT THE LOCK BUTTON, unless you know the unlock code. I learned the hard way.

  • Whats the point in the lock button? I guess so kids and teens can't us it to run up your bill.

  • @2010mustang2 its basically like the lock on the ipod touch or the iphone, so you know like if someone took it they couldent use it. Basicaly its just a safty feature

  • It´s NOT a Motorola 8000X, it´s Motorola 8000M... 1989..

8000X is black and white, "white" keys without characters and small red led display...

  • its amazing how far we have come with cellphones now..like the iphone...and its crazy cause when this phone first came out it was around $3,000 and you got it for $2 now lol

  • @JMMoosey Impossible, the networks are shut down.

  • It´s NOT 8000X phone, it´s 8000M, 1991. 8000X have white keys, small red display, black front panel and other plastic is white with battery

  • you could probably kill someone with one of those with the size they have lol

  • Theres a a way that people hack these phones and use themto listen in on other peoples calls

  • @ilovegeorgeharrison4 normally when a phone is put out of service you could still call 911 but now that i think about it you might not on that phone because there are no cell towers for it

  • @MrLangley59 really? how?
