  • @retardobull AVID microchip systems is based in Norco, CA.

  • I micro chipped all 3 of my dogs now and I plan to micro chip all my litters from here on out. I think it's a great way to have a lost dog returned, a stolen dog found, and a way to hold people accountable for their pets.

  • Recently a microchipped Golden was returned to it's owner 2 years after being stolen from their yard. Most are returned the moment a thief takes their "new" pet to the vet or it ends up at a shelter. Most dogs get lost. At least you know ur lost pet wont be Euthanized.

  • A vet will charge you upwards of $120USD to microchip. You can buy the complete kit from Amazon for $23. Our kennel club hosts clinics at the park for $35 so check yours. I give my litter their vaccines, so i chip this last litter myself. I give .05ml of benadryl to relax puppy half an hour before chipping. Ask your vet before giving as it goes per weight. Any pet coming into a vet for the first time gets scanned to see if it's stolen. The shelter scans all incoming animals. B responsible.

  • I've had all 14 of my puppies chipped. I have three of them that are now between 3-5. None of them have had any issues with the chip. It did not cause a tumor or any such thing. I chip mine before I allow their new owners to take them home. In larger cities Cavaliers are sometimes stolen as they are $1500+MRV. I've heard of dogs slipping out of collars at camp grounds, chasing after an animal and unable to get home..I HIGHLY recommend it.

  • @theguitarhero1000000 says who? I have all kinds of old Dogs that have them are are perfectly healthy the benefits far outweigh the risk..the only hope of having one returned after any length of time or from being stolen is a chip
