Muslim Morning Call to Prayer (Adhan)

In the predawn darkness, a muezzin (ascended in the minaret of the neighboorhood mosque) calls out in all directions to the faithful to kneel on their prayer carpets, face towards Mecca, and say their prayers to Allah. The mosques are so numerous and spread out here that there isn't a direction you can go in and not hear them. They do these mandatory prayers (salah) five times a day.

It's pretty cool if you've never heard it before. It's not so cool if you live next to a mosque and they wake you up at 5am everyday.

2-Ash-hadu al-la Ilaha ill Allah - Ash-hadu al-la Ilaha ill Allah
