9353 were innovators in the mid 80's Washington DC Rock/Punk scene....This song "Spooky Room" happens to be one of my favorites...check out this lead singer with his 2 distinct schizoid voices...way cool!...glad I got the opportunity to put this little video together this year.

  • @hotbox1211 your loss, they were fantastic.

  • No surprise I've never heard of this band

  • Greg Zippycoyote, That's Norman from The Meatmen on guitar on the right. Mark the drummer from Chemlab. Jason who recorded the 2009 cd on bass, and Andrew R.I.P.from H.R. playing the left side guitar. The original line up wouldn't do the show. This line up had only 6 days practice. Not bad at all considering that.

  • 9353 now has an official Facebook page. All the info on where and how and when to get old and new music is posted there. So are some songs not posted on you tube at all. And this video too!

  • Oh God, that is so satisfyingly weird. How did those two things ever intersect?

  • enossified, Thanks for your response. I believe your right, that "We're Absolutely Certain There Is No God" is a reissue of the vinyl album, plus extras. I've just ordered the CD, and can't wait to hear it. While I was looking around online, I found an odd use of the original recording; being used in a NJ belly dancers promo video.

  • I'm not 100% certain, but I believe the CD release of "We're Absolutely Certain There Is No God" was in 1993 (with additional tracks). The original vinyl was 1985. So the '93 version that you are seeing is most likely the same track. I have that CD, and I'm pretty sure it's the same track as the vinyl.

  • Some one help me out here..... I'm looking for the version of this song I listen to back in the early 80's, but what I'm finding online, is off an album released in 1993. Is this the version I'm after? I know I was listening to this much earlier than that. Was it an independently released 45 or what? I'd recorded my copy off the radio... either from WGTB or WHFS.... I want THAT version. I'm willing to go against my religion, and actually pay for this. Any help will be appreciated.

  • Man, I love this song. Used to listen to it all the time back in the day. I did a google search for this years ago, and came up with zip. I got to find a copy of the studio version.

  • hullo??? this thing is werkn Greg
