Here is a nearly flawless strategy for anyone struggling with the Flemeth Battle on DAO. This is regarded as one of the most difficult fights in the game, but this strategy seems to prove otherwise. Read below for everything shown in the video: This strategy requires little to no pausing, only preparation. This battle is fought on Normal but should prove to be sound enough for Hard or Nightmare.
Characters Used:
Alistar (Warrior) [15]
Lelina (Rogue) [14]
Destiny [PC] (Rogue) [15]
Wynne (Mage) [14]
Items/Abilities Needed:
Taunt (Warrior)
Healing Potions (Warrior)
Lesser Warmth Elixir (Or any better fire resistance potions)
Heroic Defense (Mage) (May not be absolutely needed but helps by boosting resistances)
Mana Potions (Will be needed unless you have a lot of healing potions for your tank)
Whoever your Warrior may be, will be tanking this fight. Any rogues you bring should have equipped with bows. Yes, even if they aren't specced for it. My main character was not specced for bows yet I gave her one anyway. Wynne should be focused on healing the tank, as well as providing buffs such as Heroic Defense. Wading Circle as seen in the video is not needed. Also have her tactics set to auto-use mana potions when she gets low, to avoid having to Pause. Make sure all the ranged characters are standing as shown in the video to avoid fire spit and flame breath.
Have all your ranged characters attack Flemeth, your healer may heal when needed and also contribute damage. You will be controlling the Warrior tanking. Begin by using Taunt, now start running to the side of the dragon, but not too far to the side that she swipes you or even hits you with her tail. She will do a jump turn to face you. Now simply move to her other side and repeat the process. This greatly slows down her Fire Spit attack and will completely miss her Flame Breath attack. Continue to use Taunt to keep hate on you as needed. Repeat this strategy until she is dead. :)
I did this fight with a group of level 14-15, but this can likely be done with a much less leveled group, I'd say level 11 minimum. You may have more potions than me as I only had about 3 mana potions and 8 healing potions also. Any fire resistance potions or gear you can use here is extremely helpful to lessen Fire Spit. You must used ranged damage for this fight, equip your Rogues with bows if needed. Melee DPS just get wrecked here I'm afraid. Just watch the video carefully and you should have no problems :D.
Yes I know Destiny (my character) and Alistair like to kiss a lot. They are Grey Wardens in love! Very sweet!
Be sure to watch in HD for best experience!

You can just imagine how the Warden discusses the tactics for this fight
Warden - "Okay, me Leliana and Wynne will be at the bottom of that hill there, we will rain down our attacks on her."
Alistair - "Alright! But what should I do?"
Warden - "Just keep running back and forth to draw her attention!"
Alistair - "Heheheh, that's rich my love, you want me to..."
Warden - *Smiles at Alistair*
Alistair - "You cannot be serious about this..."
Warden - *Still smiling*
