Artistic Intent met up with Osibisa after five years- since we made video promo'Gong Gong Song'. A great reunion- Teddy is having problems with his legs but that dont stop a fighting spirit. Thanks for all the barriers you have broken down. Look out for their nu album next year. This is archive which means it is straight from the camera- not much editing or post prod.

@vicpur AGREED! There's a perfect winery setting in Matakana! Great for a summer performance. I first saw Osibisa in the early 70's at the Auckland Town Hall - packed the place out both times. Saw them again in the 90's at the Powerstation and the place was half empty! Very sad. Very little promotional effort went into their tour - I think I heard about on a radio station quite by accident.

What a terrible location and crowd!! Come to New Zealand as you still have a great following here and Vine Yards are much nicer places to perform than some old beer garden behind a pub!!! You deserve more than that!!! Whose your agent!!!??

This is UNBELIEVABLE. Osibisa was the first band I got hooked up with, and I was just 9 years old. Got the chance to see them in Germany in 1988. Teddy is AMAZING, he is still playing with the band! God Bless Him!

Someone please post Woyaya. It is the definitive song about the Africans' indomitable spirit (despite the crappy leadership).
