This morning, while I was having by usual muffin and coffee for breakfast, and nonchalantly look outside the window listening to "The Current" on CBC Radio, to brush up on the news - this strong voice came about with the one liner on The Phoenix Coyotes and their future.

The Phoenix Coyotes, the NHL franchise out of bankruptcy and faith, soon to be sold and move elsewhere, swamped down after a discouraging ruling from Judge Redfield T. Baum. What will happen to the team and who will get it, and where will it be located, any good guesses?

By no means had the Phoenix Coyotes enjoyed so such fame among readers before, since Mr. BlackBerry hit bankruptcy court with a US$212.5-million tender to procure the wretched franchise, the Coyotes, a team previously featured in NHL box-scores and intermittently the Arizona press, became media sweethearts, but will they ever recover and become winning teams, wherever they might go?

  • A lot of hype and huge money talk for a insignificant team!! That's how I see it!!

  • Well in a nutshell, as an avid hockey fan, I thought of bringing this issue up since my husband kept talking about it... I honestly said to him, don't we watch too much hockey already? (He is usually glued to the TV-hockey games.)

Do we honestly need one more team in NHL? And that day I heard the Current's radio joke - thinking to stir something up here to get your thought out into a run about it! Great post, let's see what transpires in the future for the Coyotes!!

  • Coyotes aren't worth a dime! Why would anyone wage for a losing venture when the team has NO chance? Not worth a bailout with an over inflated offer! Bettman and his imprudent cronies should seize some common sense and sell this team to the best group possible before things get even worse, time to bring Bettman to court and start the process of cleaning up his numerous imprudent judgements made over the course of his control Canadians investors should not go for failure!

  • "will theCoyotes ever recover and become winning teams?" NOPE! This is why they are for sale... I feel sorry for Gretsky!!

  • Back to Winnipeg PLEASE!

  • UPDATE:

The auction for the bankrupt Phoenix Coyotes has come down to two bidders: an eager Jim Balsillie versus a reluctant National Hockey League.

  • Have you all heard... the fans have started a petition at "petitionspot" that has worked its way over to Twitter, imploring Judge Redfield T. Baum to do what he can to leave the team in Phoenix....

  • Wayne Gretzky, the most prolific scorer in NHL history, is now playing defence. Legally speaking, anyway, some fans in Phoenix are going on offence, starting a petition to keep the team in Arizona.

Gretzky launched his first legal action in the bankruptcy case of the Phoenix Coyotes in an attempt to keep his personal finances out of the public eye....

  • HAMILTON can't afford a NHL team even if they are cheap like dust!!

  • The coyotes are still homeless and pending!! I don't think anyone wants losers on their ice!!

  • This is hysterically amazing!! Not that I care for the COYOTIES, but that you even care makes me smile... you're amazing!!

    :-))

  • WELL!?? This is so whacked on!! I just heard that the HABS got sold to the original owner; MOLSON.... Gosh, why did have they sell the team's MOLSON centre in the first place?
