There is something incredibly unsettling about this.

I think the unsettling thing about it is the person recording knows what's in the church and Catherine coming out knows they're going to die. It's interesting to note,the mathematic formulas that the team was decryphering was probably the way to transmit the images to the "sub-consciousness" of the dreamer. I think it's very unsettling in that "Catherine/Satan" coming out of the church while the viewer is dreaming and can't do anything about while sleeping. Unconscious we're the most vulnerable.

whyd the silhouette of the person emerging from the church change ? the 1st broadcasts had the figure robed but the last transmission shows the woman walkin out in her regular clothes . did somethin happen in between broadcasts that altered who the person that walks out at the end would be ?

What I love about this movie is that it combines science with Christianity.

If you listen to the message, its transmitted from the future, so he's basically making it come to reality by reaching towards the mirror for "her".
