Part 2 of the same series. There's four parts in all.

This is not me. This is a podcast by tariq Elite Nasheed. Originally aired on May 20th 2010.

This podcast features Tariq Nasheed breaking down the Hollywood created image of the "Black mammy" and how white Holly wood is reinforcing this image to belittle black women.

This is the podcast show that I downloaded this show from.

  • damn Tariq opened my eyes with this, Hollywood is so full of shit I never even payed attention to the subliminal shit they do

  • @OTKP

It goes extra deep dude. I'm not even done with it yet. There's still two more parts I got to upload.

  • Turn on annotations.

I put some of the pics in the wrong spot. The annotations point out who he's talking about.

  • @lorettab77,

Yes i refused to watch that movie about the white family 'saving' the ghetto kid. So many idiots in my family and friend network were pressurising me to watch it. I said no. I had enough of Hollywood after Avatar (white messiah saves the day for the tribe nonsense again).

  • thank you Tyler Perry for breaking the binary of the "mammy"

  • @prolific12able That's exactly why I rarely watch the tell-lie-vision or go to the movies. I am exhausted of people being suprised that I'm a size 0 naturally, grew up in a suburban 2 parent house, happily married to my high school sweet heart who happens to be white and don't have 5 different kids by random thugs in the ghetto/jail. Plus college educated but that wouldn't make for a good movie cause it's not believable that black people can accomplish things without welfare/gov't assistance.

  • @NubianRockerChick ~

Yes, you're right. Hollywood will NEVER EVER EVER EVER let go of their "great white hope" films.

Gotta give it up for 40 Acres and a Mule Productions- i'm a proud supporter of Mr Lee.

  • man this is some intelligent shit he preaching

  • To be honest Hollywood usually shows Black men as strong and muscular or wise. Also it's rarer to see a Black gay than it is to see a White gay in Hollywood productions. The maker of the cartoons in this video is more racist than the average White. But I guess it's just the normal blame Whites for everything. EVERYTHING. Nothing Whites ever do is right. They didn't show Blacks in a negative light and there was nothing bad in mammy, but still you hate Whites for it. Sigh... I give up.

  • Pet Nigger, roflmao !!!! I thought the same thing when I watched the blind side...straight up bull sh*t. He bascially was the gentle giant who was too stupid to try anything. So tired of those white person to the rescue movies...black folks can help each other out but wouldn't make a good movie. I guess cause society doesn't find it believable.

  • @visionimagify Yeah. But, I think even Good Times showed alot of the black characters in a positive light, except that they were poor and in the ghetto.

  • where is the part 3?

  • @scottnaji The Cosby show really helped my self-esteem growing up. I didn't believe it too either, same with Family Matters.

  • Black men are allowed to be blind or deformed too. Look at Jordi and Worf on Star Trek The Next Generation. The Klingons didn't have a crab shell on their head in the first Star Trek. And why is a brother blind in an era where we have regular space travel? Give me a break!
