  • Congratulations! Really great that you have realized your goal.

  • It is gorgeous right now - we have received some nice December snow so the Ice Park is ready and the slopes in Telluride and Durango are calling!

  • I have visited Colorado multiple times and been to many of different places out there. But Ouray is perhaps the best place I have ever been. How I would LOVE to live there!

  • When you love outdoor recreation and small town America, Ouray is difficult to beat. It has become expensive to live here given the limited employment opportunities. That is the challenge - to figure out how you can make a living while enjoying living.

  • I'd love to live there. Is there any room for those of us that aren't independently wealthy or working in service related work?

Is the community in need of an IT specialist or web developer?

  • That profession is one that allows for telecommuting - I know of people doing that here. The county has about 4000 residents so large employment opportunities in the area are limited. Real estate / construction and tourism of course are the top industries - and both do use IT people. The real estate costs are significant and make it difficult to start out in real estate in Ouray. I moved here after I worked and saved for a number of years - worked in IT so it can be done.

  • Wait, wait, wait, wait...since when has there been golfing in Ouray? (I would like to point out that it is no where near Denver. And the Strong schools isn't so much 'schools' as it is 'school'. K through 12 is in one building.) It is a really great place, though.

  • Don't tell me. Let me guess. You own the local real estate agency.

  • simply beautiful

  • Yup Colorado used to be really nice place to live ...then all the assholes from all the other states moved here and fucking ruined it for everyone. Now it's just a piece of shit full of assholes

  • I've been to Ouray. Why Wounldn't you want to live there. Pictures cannot capture it. It's unbelievably beautiful.

  • We have been to ouray several times. It is by far the most beautiful place I have ever been. We especially loved hiking in the mountians. The hot springs were a wonderful treat at the end of a busy day. I could call this home. The people are so friendly. It is like a taste of Heaven.

  • Wow! Great video! Looks like a neat place. Will visit in Sept. Also, neat music. Shazam can't identify it. Can you help?

  • Beautiful Video!!

We just visited Ouray and got married @ Bridal Vail Falls (7-17-09) and we have decided to make the move to ouray! We found the perfect property, and business opportunity and we are currently working to get there as soon as possible!! Cant wait to wake up to the breath taking views...Its possible, put your mind to a goal and it will come true!! :-)

  • Lived in Ouray, THE BEST place to live. Period. Think Mayberry with serious views.

The Fourth of July celebration is an ALL day affair. I miss her.
