When you're working with heaps of layers, there's a really simple shortcut to give yourself a bit more room. Really handy if you're working on a complex project, or even if you're on a notebook with a relatively low-res screen.

  • the tilt (¸) doesnt work in cs5 ?

  • @grashoper1985 Works fine with CS5. But you're probably using a Slovak keyboard - which appears to have a number of options on that key. The character you want is actually the grave accent [`] - if you can't access this character easily, then you may not be able to use this feature.

Google 'tilde key after effects' and the first result is an article on remapping keys in After Effects. Hope it helps.
