How do you unlock the top gear test track on gt5?

You have to beat the first Top Gear challenge in special events - the one where you race the bus. But the thing is, you need to get gold. Getting a bronze or silver won't unlock the course.

veyron is not actually the fastest car in top gear track in my opinion because it's too fast and no one can control it on turns.
