On Wednesday afternoon, September 30, 2009, the "Mad as Hell Doctors" rallied in front of the White House, in Lafayette Park. The group supports a Single Payer Healthcare System. Two of their slogans are: "Everybody In! Nobody Out!" and "Single Payer or Bust!" The doctors have been on a nationwide tour promoting their cause. One of the speakers at the spirited event was Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich (D-OH). He is one of the key champions in the House of Representatives of HR 676, a Single Payer Bill. Dr. Margaret Flowers of Baltimore, who helped to organize the rally, also served as the MC for it. • What we must recognize as truly frightening is that while Kucinich is so SPOT ON THIS ISSUE WITH HR 676, our media is NOT FAIRLY COVERING THE ISSUE. We pay 50% more for health care here in the U.S. vs. any other civilized country yet our PUBLIC AIRWAVES ARE CONTROLLED BY THE FAT CATS WHO WON'T GIVE US FAIR SAY. A PRIVATE CORPORATION CENSORS OUR DEBATES FOR PUBLIC OFFICE! THIS IS FRUIT OF A POISON TREE!

  • I looooooove Dennis Kucinich! Wake up America! Yeah!

  • I hope this piece of shit gets hit by a car. He does not own my body.

  • IIIIIIII LOVE U DENNIS!!!! WE NEED U !! AND SUPPORT U !!! AWESOME!

  • @RottenTreat

I Believe we should get rid of the department of medicare.

  • @bassman5588

Don't you ever diss ron paul again!

  • Um they are best friends and Kucinich, without hesitating, said he would pick Ron Paul as his running mate in a presidential election.

  • Each persons' share of the national debt is already $40,000. If you lump in existing unfunded entitlements then it balloons to over $200000. That is for every man, woman, and child in the U.S., working or not.

  • Healthcare is a service provided by other individuals, to say you have the right to the labor of another person makes you both the idiot and immoral. The current system has to be scrapped. The honest solution to the problem is to either go single payer (Kucinich's idea) or scrap the employer based insurance system (thru the tax code) and medicare & allow market pricing to enter. I would prefer to see single payer at this point. The continuation of corporatism by Obama will add to the problem.

  • via taxes. we can pay for it seeing that the US gov't debt is still considerably lower than the actual wealth in this country. You complain about how are we going to pay for it. Its a non-issue.

  • you're an idiot. Healthcare is a right. denial of healthcare simply because one can't afford it is a violation of human rights. There is a reason why the US is starting to not be used as the standard of how to run a country. My god we have problems that shouldn't be here. BTW the current system puts soo many individuals and businesses into bankruptcy. You can America freedom land yet things that make you free are openly denied. Hell your thought process is soo twisted.
