When anarchists show up at 2 different events to heckle & disrupt CANACE, the very different tactics of the OPP & Ottawa Police Service are displayed.

One group is following orders from the Liberal McGuinty government, one is not. I'll leave it up to you folks to decide which is which.

  • You obviously have no clue about the situation the OPP were in during that protest. Due to the many circumstances they could LOSE their JOB if they even touched one of the protesters, they were just there to act as a deterrent a scarecrow so to say

  • @FrostKatana Congratulations! In the 5 years that I've been living and breathing that "situation", yours is the most asinine comment I have ever heard. There are no circumstances where lawlessness is acceptable in a civilized society

  • @canaceHD The situations were completely different, your assessment of it is absurd. Do you suggest they arrest the protestors? The OPS escorted them out because they were disrupting a presentation. The OPP were in the middle of a peaceful protest, being anti-government is not against the law.

You cannot fault the police for acting in accordance with the law, you may fault the police, but not for doing their jobs.

  • @EaiteFojdcee You’re missing the point. The OPP were walking away from a situation where a handful of people were surrounded by hundreds of angry protestors. Shortly before this clip one of the peaceful protestors lunged at Mark Vandermaas & was restrained by an OPP officer who didn’t arrest the guy that day or since. Before that, some of the peaceful protestors were kicking a 75 year old war veteran in the shins while the OPP did nothing.

They should not have left given the situation.

  • @canaceHD I'm calling it as I see it in this video. They have a right to be angry in a peaceful protest, and yeah, they probably should've arrested the violent one, but if Mark or the veteran didn't want to press charges, they don't.

I won't place myself in a situation I'm not familiar with, I'll only make a judgement on the video itself.

  • @EaiteFojdcee Much like yourself I’m calling it as I saw it. Mark tried for about 3 months to get the OPP to lay an assault charge but they refused. At the next rally the same guy shoved me about 8’ into oncoming traffic on a Provincial highway in front of OPP officers, so I filed a complaint with the OPP but they refused to press charges. The only recourse we have now is to go to court & file the charge privately which is likely what I’ll do, but I shouldn’t have to.

  • @MagnusAtheos1 Again, know your facts before you speak

  • A lot of people in the Ottawa police beat people up.

It goes unseen and they lie about it,they also make up stories like "this person was hitting my cruiser hood".The hood has dents in it,but what they say are lies.

They must be stopped as they prey on the most vulnerable like a pack of vultures.

  • The OPP are only interested in driving excessively fast on the 400 series highways.

  • @canaceHD Look up past situations when the OPP get's involved the first nations protest for land debates. BECAUSE of that they no longer intervene. On top of that what are they going to do when the protest is outside as opposed to inside those people are still acting within their constitutional rights.
