the fs100 and nearly all cameras output a 1080i 60 signal. It is outputting a 30PsF signal. which is 30P embedded in the 60i signal. The camera then converts from 30P to the interlaced system (60i) it splits that frame into two, producing 2 fields each field has the same image. This will split the odd frames in to 2 fields, and the even frames in to 3 fields. AKA Reverse Telecine 3:2/2:3 pulldown.
in short, your settings are wrong. set the camera to 1080i hdmi output and you will a picture

Simple solution - you need to add tri-level sync to your system. Your Matrox should have a selection for it and an input. If you switch to internal sync it may work but doubtful.
-
last resort: go in component (but your audio would come from the RCA outs)

have you tried playing back pre-recorded clips from the camera? have you tried putting the camera into record mode (with a card in it)? that may apply some timecode to the signal going out to the matrox. Premiere is not my primary editing software, I'm just offering some suggestions. good luck.

The color issue may be the YUV vs. RGB. I would try both. hope that helps.

Your project should be a 29.97 (the camera shots drop frame). i know the menus on the camera show 30P, but the actual frame rate is 29.97P.

It's an adobe premier pro editing keyboard that helps with the visualization of the shortcuts. if you look on Amazon or ebay for "adobe premier pro editing keyboard" you will find it.

Apparently there are many "specs" floating around there, the camera without any addon's is native 4-2-2 HDMI, it seems that you may get 4-4-4, but there's some add-on that costs an additional $1200 that gives you the additional numbers. I can guarantee you that native 4-4-4 is NOT coming out of the camera the way its bought.
