why does it have the 3.8? shouldnt it have the 3.1? engine swap?

@hoagieman26 Base engine is the shitty little 3.1 on the SE but the 3800 is Optional. Thats about the only option with Car has far as I can tell - but its the best option. =)

Oh yeah its still alive. Exhaust stops at 1st resonator. Needs the brakes repaired (badly leaking line) and has no power steering (Line flew off doing reverse donuts oddly enough). Brakes won't cost anything to fix, Power Steering may not even be fixable. I sit at the Rev Limiter all day with that thing, she'd take a while to blow unless I drained the oil. That car is legend though, can't let her die. Not yet anyways.

I've driven mine at about 85mph in the ft.bragg training ranges on nothing but sand and field grass for about three miles, and raced a full season (65 runs) at the lumberton speedway. The car rocks, and 3 engines ( one n/a, one super and last is turbo'ed from zzp) it still climbs the odometer at 312,765 miles as of my last inspection. Sure none of the windows work, and the tranny has seen better days but even with the turbo i still get about 17 miles hyw/12-9 city.

Awesome! 300K+ Miles. I believe it. Mines got around 170K of hard hard miles. Havnt had any issues with the tranny other then linkage doesnt care to locate Reverse all the time (goes past it) and I think every GM owners knows the 1st thing thats gonna die on their vehicle is the Door Latches and the Windows! =0)
