It's also tragic to think that the latest offerings from a group that had 36 top 40 US hits and was listed as the 12th greatest band of all time by the Rolling Stone magazine, have had less than 2 million views in the same time a Korean doing some strange dance moves managed to rack up over 1.3 billion. No-one has a chance of singing as well as some of these old bands and that's why so many new singers just mime.

Oops - I probably shouldn't have said that!

Outstanding track, brings a tear to my eye when I think of all the brilliant songs the Beach Boys have put together over the years. From my first album in 1965 right up to now they have been simply brilliant.

This is more Beach Boys that we know and love.

On the other hand, PSY offers a new spectacle and some funky dance moves.

It's about freshness. No point doing direct comparison.

If everybody listened to old bands get stale music would be worse off.

Comparing the Beach Boys to Psy is apples and oranges. You might as well bring up Justin Bieber too.

That's 12th greatest ARTIST of all time. They were listed as the 3rd greatest band of all time. Oh well, our views mean more anyway!

I love The Beach Boys, and I honestly think these new songs they are making are still fresh and enjoyable. But I really wish they never made this cheap music video..

Sad indeed. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Beach Boys will never receive the same fame in the 60s. The Beach Boys will continue on and be loved. Sure, kids in this generation will appreciated and love The Beach Boys as other people did, but this will never be big. Which is sad, but then again you can hold on and listen to just masterpiece as this album and not worry about any hype.
