I saw the entire movie thing from the segment 1 to the last and I tell you that you guys really do know what you are doing.
I have the pc version and used a trainer to challenge me to beat the game with NO enemy encounters. It was so tough - I missed a lot of enemy skills and items but I did it - about 7 years ago. Too bad FF7 does not work on Win Vista - I would do it again.

@BrutalAl Not at all, I've just become busy with all sorts of other things. I will get back to this.

What happened to the rest of the run? Hope you didn't give up.

Wow marlboro. Seems like an odd place for them to be, you know, on a snowy mountain trail near a cliff.

You forgot about Dragon Force. Do you really know how powerful it is? If you cast it twice on the same character it will become almost invincible.
Reply please.

@XRedburn Dragon Force just raises defenses for a single character... it's not really worth taking the time to fight a Blue Dragon, manipulate it to get the skill, and defeat it, in order to obtain it in a speedrun.

@ThomasMcCormack A single cast will double the defense, but have you ever cast it twice? I never take more than 50 damage even from big monsters when I cast it twice, try and see. I have the pc version, maybe it wont work for the psx version.

@XRedburn Anything that you go out of your way to obtain in a speedrun must be something that will save you more time in the long run than it takes to get it. Not only would it take the extra time to obtain the skill, but casting it multiple times during boss fights would take up even more time. Extra defensive abilities just aren't worth taking extra time for in a speedrun, because they don't speed things up like a good offensive ability would... they'd just slow things down.

@ThomasMcCormack Understood I did not consider that speed part during the battle.

@XRedburn You could try asking GarlandTheGreat or BrutalAI about it, it's more likely one of them have at least looked into it. I'm basically just following Garland's guide anyway.
