@bigbenhoward true, however, V killed the high-ranking officials, the Bishop, Adam Sutler, etc. Without orders, how do the soldiers act, they follow orders not intuition. Therefore, V not only cared but protected the people. Also, when you wage war against your own country, you must be willing to lose your life.

U k ow what yeah I may only 17 but I feel what he is saying goverment should leave stuff alone honestly and this goverment is going down the drain there has been no "goverment shut down" ever before

It must be kept in mind though, as stirring as this speech is, is that V's actions here was not heroically directed at the end game of freeing the country. He was simply a physical manifestation of a Vendetta. What he's doing here is just crafting another weapon against the men and women he means to kill. Ask yourself this; what would have happened to all those people if the Army had opened fire at the end of the film? V doesn't necessarily care, because by then, he or his targets will be dead.

@floresebu Not republicans. Neocons. VERY big difference. What's more, neocons have a LOT in common with the far left.
Both are for big government infringing on the rights of the people.
This movie is a warning about big government controlling too many aspects of an individual citizen's life.
