The Dot and the Line: A Romance in Lower Mathematics

So clever! Definitely one of my fave short movies :)

This cartoon seems best suited for shy teenagers trying to win a girl. But why would you want a girl like dot anyway? She's just goes where the money is.

If you had a choice between two people that seem to have the same feelings about you...
who would you choose?

Whichever had more lasting value. If you want to talk about money, that's where it is, lasting value, not an immediate appearance of value.

If you're really greedy like me, you don't go for immediate benefits, you wait for the good stuff.

It is indeed a word -- A "rhomboid" is parallelogram in which adjacent sides are of different lengths. A "rhombus" is one where the sides are all the same length.

Now, about this film. First time I saw it was in elementary school in class. I didn't connect the name Chuck Jones with the Roadrunner or any of the other animation he had done, but I always liked this film. (I considered myself a 'line' then. And when the moral came up, I LOL -- I love puns. Math and vocab -- a great combo.
