This is my review of the Neato XV-11.
This video shows the performance of the robot vacuum in action.
If you wish to see the conclusion of the review go to the 3rd video.

  • Does it work better with the updated software?

  • @timerider4 The neato itself has some performance improvments but it still doesn't get under the chairs.

  • @apnudi :)

  • @delliswierd lol!

  • I love my Neato. Regarding power cords, etc., The only adjustments I've had to do (mine vacuums daily at 11:00 AM) are...Make sure there are no power cords hanging out to where they might snag the corner of the vacuum. I added some coasters to the bottom of the sofa and loveseat to give enough clearance for it to clean under them. I tend to move chairs around before I go to bed so that it cleans where the chairs used to be. Latest firmware it has gotten much better at cleaning under chairs.

  • @timerider4 I have the new v2.4 upgrade and I like it a lot. The docking procedure is greatly improved. I have not had it fail a docking since the upgrade. It still does have issues with sometimes rounding corners instead of going all the way into them though. The cleaning portion also is improved a lot. I have a room with thick low pile carpet and it was turning the brush off while on it. The new firmware seems to be keeping the brush on and it cleans MUCH better. I LOVE my neato!

  • Great Video! Thanks for the review. Very Helpful

  • You can thank Delta electronics for the jet engine noise of the vacuum, as the Neato uses a Delta computer extractor blower as the vacuum fan.

  • @baneb : 4 inches is enough, Neato deals quite well with power cords (since its "brush" is not so strong because it has a real vacuum). Now you might need to put some magnetic strip used to restrict an area, they are a lot more convenient than the virtuals walls from iRobot and cheaper... (Sorry if my english is wierd, I'm french speaking)
