@yazarc I would agree that it can be hard to see one console as the 'best' of the 16-bit era, but I jumped into Turbo in 1993, and the turbo is my favorite of the three as well. with HuCard, CD, SCD, and ACD games it just cannot be beat. I wish we could find turbo stuff in thrift shops like I find SNES and Gens! lol

It has some good games, yes. But calling it the best system of the 16 bit era is a bit of a stretch to say the least.

I actually made a VHS playthrough of it at the time and passed it around my group. All anyone cared about were the deaths though (I left them in).
The deaths were, as you know, incredibly gruesome.
This game was a triumph, and proved that the TG-16 was by far the best system of the 16 bit era. It's sad that the "good games" were so hard to find. That was the problem with it.
I love this game too. Had to jump through a lot of hoops to get it too. February 1994: I called TTI directly and asked if I could buy it from them, since I saw it in the Turbo play magazine and couldn't find it at EB.
They said sure, sent me the game a few weeks later and I became a god amongst my high school gamer nerd clique.
Good memories, great game.

Got mine for $49.99 from TZD around thanksgiving of 1994. Yeah, that was a great holiday season.
Most of my friends had no idea what this game was, or even what a Turbo was. But damn it they all wanted to see more of it after a few hours of Beyond Shadowgate!! =)
