  • What would be a good memory card to use with this camera? I will be using it for video and photos in equal measure. I was thinking 16GB Transcend or SanDisk.

  • @GLH03 Yep, either of those brands are good in my experience. 16GB and the faster the better, as this camera produces big files very quickly!

  • I'm wanting to get into photography, just as a hobby for now, and was wondering if this camera would be a good starting point. Iv had basic camera's before but am looking for something with higher quality. I have been looking into getting the Canon SX40, but would this suite me better?

  • @ChoppaMate Either the FZ150 or SX40 would be a decent choice, but if you want to get into photography as a hobby I'd recommend an SLR. Image quality is much better and it's easier to experiment with settings, different lenses etc. Something like the Canon EOS 1100D (aka EOS Rebel T3) with 18-55mm lens costs about the same as the FZ150. Get the Canon EF 50 mm f/1.8 II lens too if you can afford it - great for shooting portraits.

  • I got one for Christmas and its awesome but I was wondering what does ISO mean?

  • @MegaCameron101 I'll try to write a short answer... ISO is like a brightness control for the image. If you're shooting in low light, a high ISO speed boosts the brightness. Otherwise you'd have to use a very slow shutter speed to capture enough light, which would cause blur. However, a high ISO speed also boosts noise (giving a speckled mush), so when you're shooting something bright, keep the ISO speed low for best image quality. The Auto ISO does all this automatically for you.
