Halo: Best known for its amazing score, deep and thrilling story, and beautiful graphics. No, it is not realistic. No, it is not the modern shooter. It is one of the last Arcade shooters in existence, and at this point, the best. From the moving music, to the gorgeous explosions, hell...even to the story; Halo impresses from every angle. And even with more Halo games to come, I don't think it is milked yet. Long Live Halo, Long live Chief, Long live Bungie and 343.

@Sc0ttishHitman It good that people like and dislike games, and they can express themselves of what they think about it, what they love, and what they don't. Though the fact that they, let's say cod since that's where the war is, comment about how much better cod is on halo's videos, is the bad part. Same when people think they know everything about tastes and that halo is the only good game, or cod.

I didn't classify it as a modern shooter, I was just saying that most people classify a modern shooter if it has a limit of 2-3 weapons too carry, down the sights, cover combat, and rechargeable health.

That's why I said Halo seems hard to classify to me, because it seems like it has elements of both Modern and Old School shooters.

Although, I'd probably consider it more Old School than anything else.

@rockinsparzy105 No think of it this way. The recharging shield mechanic was first introduced with Unreal, having an Armor system and Later changed with Tribes in '99 with a Shield system. They are both considered arcade. If you think of things like Half Life, that is a great example, but it has its on demeanor of Armor/Shield system. To classify it as modern wouldn't make sense. Modern Shooters consist of Iron-sights and a bit slower pace.
