Aubrey Berry found not guilty on all charges in shooting death of rapper, Dolla

Aubrey Berry was found not guilty of first degree murder in the shooting death of of rapper Roderick "Dolla" Burton. Many people will be surprised but we sat in on the trial everyday and both sides presented very convincing cases, but the burden of proof rests with prosecution and if the can cast doubt on the government's case, the defense should prevail as they did.

The prosecution did the best job they could do with a victim that did not have the cleanest history which the defense used to describe the state of mind of Aubrey Berry. The jury did not want to be interviewed, so we believe these are our points that the jury relied on for a complete acquittal:

1. There was evidence that Dolla was either affiliated or a member of the Mansfield Gangster Crips. They had the Mansfield tattoo, and they had his association with Te-Money who according to testimony by police was a documented record.
2. The incident that occurred in Atlanta, 11 days prior where Berry was assaulted by Te-Money, and several other friends of Dolla was discussed. There was video tape that was played that showed portions of the commotion in the club after Berry was assaulted.




3. The defense showed lyrics of one of Dolla's songs called, "Is You Holding" which talks about him being strapped with his gun. Additionally the women on the jury were probably offended by the misogynistic displayed in the song and it did not make Dolla look good. 4. Molina admitted to picking up bullet casings before the police arrived at the crime scene providing the defendant an explanation to projectiles and casings that were located in places that was inconsistent with a self defense shooting.
5. Toxicology reports proved that Dolla had recently had marijuana in his system, even though Dolla's two friends both testified that they did not smoke weed, and one of Dolla's friends testified that he never smoked weed.




6. A waiter from the restaurant testified that Dolla and his party never paid the bill, and again the same two witnesses testified that the bill was paid.
