  • The only reason why Jesus spoke in this manner was to keep people from trying to kill him before his time and because if he were to come right out and claim his is God, people wouldn't have listened to a word he said. The three that bear record are the Father, the Word, adn the Holy Ghost and these three are one. The NT deems Jesus God in Creation, the Son in Redemption, and the Holy Ghost in regeneration. The key is to let scripture interpret scripture and not use the philosphies of men.

  • And to say that they are co-equal is constantly negated by the instances of Jesus seemingly submiting to the Father and saying that he will send the Holy Ghost from the Father. This eludes to some type of submission to authority. Unless you admit that God is one and that Jesus is the full embodiment of God in the form of a Man.

  • “In the being was th Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” “[Jesus]Who is the image of the invisible God. . . For by him were all things created.” If one looks at the instances in the Gospels when Jesus says out right that he is God, albeit cryptic, they try to kill him. To say that God extist as 3 separate but co-equal parts to a whole is like saying we exist in the same. After all we are created in his image. However, Jesus IS his image.

  • It is pretty much given that most Christians admit that Christ was God incarnate; however, not all admit to him being God in God’s entirety. “For in him dwelleth all fullness of the Godhead bodily.” Col 2:9. Doubting Thomas said, “My Lord and my God.” Jn 20:28 “I am my Father are ONE.” “And He that seeth me seeth him that sent me.” “Before Abraham was, I am.”

  • @knightlax Jesus was God in flesh. The flesh is dead without a spirit, so again Jesus said God had forsaken him. Jesus said God left him, and Jesus said "I am" in the Gospels which is a name of God in Judaism meaning self existing in Hebrew. Jesus know God left him, and Jesus is still God with God who left him. As it is written. Jesus words are true. I can not see how Oneness can be true.

  • @MrHellowwww1 The answer to "How is Oneness true?" in reference to you question of Jesus' knowledge is defined within the doctrine itself and explains why. Jesus Christ was God manifested in flesh. He was both God and man. In his humanity, his knowledge was limited, just like a man can't know everything. But being the image of the infinite, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent Jehovah Himself, He was able to know all things at His choosing.

  • @sirallure cont from...I am son, brother, and friend. If I make a false statement, the son, the brother, and friend all make a false statement. A review Jesus said in Mark 13:32 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Jesus is the Son, and the Son is God. How is Oneness true?

  • @sirallure Since Jesus is God and John 6:46 is true, then there must be more to God than what you see. Since Jesus said the Father knows and not the Son, then there must be a Father. How do you keep these statements true with Oneness? I am not understanding how Oneness can be true. Oneness seems false. God said he was an unique one not a simple. T

  • @sirallure We agree Jesus is our savior. Oneness is the issue. Jesus was called Emmanuel or God with us. Jesus said I am which is a name of God in Judaism meaning self existing in Hebrew. Jesus is God. Jesus said in John 6:46 No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. Jesus said in Mark 13:32 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Since Jesus words are true, how can Oneness be true?

  • @MrHellowwww1 okay but logically that makes no sense, I am a friend, brother, son. but they aren't my name they are titles. That scripture is how they should baptize don't blow it out of context. Look what God said in Isaiah 43:11 pure and simple.
