This is the most refreshing thing said on the subject - this guy is so spot on. I am not a religious guy but was brought up in eastern orthodox religious family, so for most parts I am agnostic with healthy respect for people who are religious, then I came across creationists and they make my blood boil - in the last few days I was turning into hard line atheists. This video restored my faith (not in God), but in humanity. It sort of makes me go to church if only to listen to him.

Creationism is primarily a US phenomena, just like "televangelists" and all the rest of the religious hokum passed off as "true" Christianity. Unfortunately, this new Christian Fundamentalism is gaining ground elsewhere.

I believe the problem is that most Christians are fairly easily swayed by the liars due to the typical deference to authority figures and the efforts the liars put into their propaganda. "Fox News" is a fairly good example of an outlet for the fundamentalist view.

@HonestDiscussioner He doesn't bother me.... Found the guy Archbishop Lazar Puhalo. Unusual to hear that kind of view point from a Christian. Quite refreshing really. I think he can see what damage is being done to the church. It's great to hear such sense amongst all the lunacy. Thanks for the upload.

TBH, I think most of the hardcore fundamentalist, believe as he does at the core, those fundies just around around denying more reality and having more stuff to have faith in.

(I'm assuming he's eastern orthodox)

for the video, he's just bashing on hardcore fundamentalist xtians, which even Scientologist can make some "good" points.
