Portal 2 challenges with hydra = cheating?

I found out that I can beat some portal 2 challenges using less portals because of the hydra. As example, I've recorded a level doing so.

I know that some have been able to beat this level with a similar amount of portals by using the cube to jump from in mid air, and thus essentially skipping placing the cube on the button. Still this isn't probably the only level where this is possible.

Well yeah i think it kinda is cheating if your using something they didnt intend in the original game. My and my friend are also doing portal videos at the moment if you want to check them out :P

@LPChip Thats awesome :P have you seen the full cube tricks video?

@CnJClips Yeah. Its one of the reasons for getting a hydra actually. You can't really throw a cube properly with keyboard and mouse, but you can with gamepad and even easier with a Hydra. :) I tried and was able to quite easily throw the cube far away, but just not exactly where I wanted it. In fact, not even close XD

Well, it is possible to do that chamber in 2 portals anyway, but I guess the Hydra makes it much, much easier. That actually looks quite fun with the hydra though :)
