performance excerpts from this lecture video:
http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/view/id/260
and likely here in a few days: http://youtube.com/user/TEDtalksDirector

These bite-size, zero-production-value performances are mostly proof-of-concept things that tie into his lecture about his creative process. The full 40 minute lecture is cool too, but I provide this edited video here since there are not many Michael Moschen performance vids on youtube.

  • very very cool! Thanks Michael for all the inspirations!88!

  • que fantastico dommmm carambaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • @Bass5el and man my speeling sucks tonight! ;-)

  • @Rajhoul Yeah, but this is in "live time:. Bickford's genius stems from the manipulation of small frangments of time (ie 24 frames a second) to create a flowing whole over a long period of work. Moschen takes years to develop skills which make the semmingly impossible appear attainable.

  • Compared to Frank Zappa and Bruce Bickford claymation, this guy does suck.

  • Michael Moschen gets written down in my book at the only guy to be able to fully mesmerize me by waving a stick around.

  • From 7:45 to 9:23 looked more like a dance than anything else .....

  • how do YOU know what he meant. i can't believe i'm having this dicussion. the poster made a highly disrespectful comment and failed to even explain himself properly, and now you are attempting to. he did not say "this video". he said simply "this" . i interpret it the way i believe it to be. it was a moronic comment that has no place on this page, nor does your defense belong here either. nor does my comment either in fact, but i had to say something. his comment was putrid.

  • I see what he means. He meant this particular video. He didn't say "how is art important to humanity", he asked how this video is important to humanity. And the truth is, it's not. If Michael Moschen didn't exist, sure there would be some people who aren't doing what they're doing, but humanity would not be "sick" without him. Now don't get me wrong, I think this guy is amazing. I'm just defending the original poster. His comment isn't "truly tragic", it's his/her opinion.

  • I've tried to imagine a world without grown men playing with balls. It's difficult.
