Around 100 youths clashed with police officers and brought the town of Heywood to a stand still. Yobs threw missiles and bricks at police during the disturbance on the 23rd Feb 2012.

A Greater Manchester Police officer suffered bruising to his legs and arms during the trouble on Bridge Street. No other injuries were reported

A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and police assault. A 14-year-old boy was arrested for causing danger to a public highway.

    I know some of the vile children on here. Suffice to say they don't have any valid political point to make, they just wanted to chant offensive language and hopefully get on the news.
