Not all of the families that came from the acre or projects or were poor had drugged up parents or children. When the drugs came to the city it was like the devil made a visit and stayed. I remember seeing a girl i knew when I was a teen. she was beautiful back then. When I saw her yrs later she had lost her teeth & her hair and was sickly. Same w my sister & her friends. I was lucky got out of school & left the city & kept my health. So sad to see addiction & it is a disease.

Did I just see an officer spray mace into the face of that man while a little boy stood close by & others walked by? OY! I know the city well. If U dont look U dont see it If U dont look U feel it. It's crazy I know it. If U can believe it though it was worse but a different bad. The late 70's it started to really turn into trash. That was a turning point in my memory. Drugs big time. Everyone from rich 2 poor. The people U C on the streets down & out once came from homes that had it all.

The city of lowell is what you make it. but enemies stay enemies forever. we get live out here but we dont like to. too much drama and cops, drama always comes and gets finished like everywhere else. its just a matter of location. the people are all the same
