Michael Mosley has a close, and messy, encounter with an orangutan as he finds out about some of Charles Darwins lesser known work. Famous for the theory of evolution, Darwin also spent over 30 years of his life looking at the emotional expressions of both humans and animals. His research included visiting an orangutan in a zoo but, unlike Michael, it possibly didnt include being spat at.

  • If I was trapped in a cage I would spit at people too.

  • @dinofartz i got one for em, humans are animals, advanced animals.

  • that guy got pwnd lol

  • @DonMega187 a wonderful idea. It might be the only way to preserve some species from extinction, but seeing animals pace from boredom and insanity caused by tiny, mostly cement enclosures is a fate worse than death. sadly, I've seen that behavior because I used to go to zoos as well. Let's get rid of circuses first.

  • @executionofaspecies and especially a boring, small cement cage that is not at all like your natural habitat.

  • @executionofaspecies true :-)

  • @dinofartz in buddhism belief all life has a soul of sort, because of reincarnation. but i think they say rocks do have soul as well, oh well :P

  • @executionofaspecies well said. it's very sad. and even i have paid for visiting a zoo to see animals, therefore supporting their captivity business. zoos should be brought down and perhaps replaced by national parks, protected areas of wildlife with fences around the border incase it's anywhere near habitated area to protect people as well. people could see the animals in their natural habitat by trekking through the park if they choose to. it would be little better than damned zoos atleast

  • Monkeys like fuck off bro

  • Who says animals don't have souls
